How to start a club!
Starting clubs at Sota is super easy! Just follow this list (it looks like a lot, but it's okay), and your club will be up and running in no time!
First, you'll want to find a place to meet, and find the person in charge of that space to make sure it's okay to be there.
Second, you'll need a club advisor- a teacher to attend club meetings and make sure everything is running smoothly.
By now you should have also figured out when your club is meeting- what day and time. Most clubs start around 3:45 or 4.
Next, you pretty much just start meeting. You'll need an official constitution to be approved by ASB (more on that in a second). This can be written on your own OR with the help of your club!
If you want to be official and included when ASB talks about clubs- you should get approved. Don't worry, it's really easy. Just come to one of our meetings (Monday, Ted Brown first floor, 4 pm) with your constitution (template found here) and we will read it over and vote to make your club official!
TLDR and Important Notes!
Find a room to meet in
Find a teacher to oversee your club
Pick a time and place, and start meeting!
Bonus! Bring your constitution to ASB to become an official club!
Remember that sota clubs are also open to sami and idea students!
